Walking on the Rooftop to Enjoy Science and Nature

The walkway, which is adapted to the curved rooftop, has 156 stairsteps in total. Let's make up for a lack of exercise by going up and down the stairs with some rest, while enjoying various scientific tricks.

  • Open-air Challenge Wall (Bouldering wall)

    The museum has Challenge Walls both inside and outside of the museum. The open-air Challenge Wall is on the outer wall of the 3D Studio dome. Its routes are horizontal and made up of four challenge levels. Let's try to complete all!

  • A compass showing directions

    The points of the compass are drawn on the top of the observation deck in the museum. Check directions with it and enjoy the panoramic view from the deck.

  • Physical laws

    If you walk from JR Komatsu station, you will find places where rainwater gathers and falls from the roof. Let's find such rare places you can see only on rainy days.
